1. Savair Energy Limited:
Summary:Savair energy ltd is a 50% share holding company of Hindustan Aeronautics. It is a Gas Compressor Packaging and a mid-size EPC (Engineering Procurement construction) company.
Difficulties: The company needed an organization which would be able to work on 3D modelling of the entire Compressor Package Unit assembly, Pipping Modelling and Routing, Pipping Instrumentation design, support design. They also expect the same company to be able to stress analyse, support analyse for the entire unit. It would be great if they could also provide the GAD, Fabrication drawing, Pipping Isometric drawing and MTO. They found KKR Bose Design perfect fit for the job.
Solve: KKR received all 2d GAD of individual components from client. Also the client provided us with a proposed dimension of the base frame as intial inputs. Referring the given GAD, KKR made the 3D models of all the inner components individually. Then the base frame structure was 3D modelled. Now the models of the inner components were placed into their mutually decided locations into the base frame. The pipe class that was provided was referred to create the Pipping Modelling. To create to route of the pipes, we used our expertise so that it had no clashes with the components. The maintenance was kept in mind so that later on it does not harm the unit. The pipes were connected into the nozzles of the components. A few modifications were made after the stress analysis of the entire model. After the confirmation from the client, KKR started extracting GAD and Pipping Isometric drawing. The support fabrication drawing of the base frame and the MTO was also made as demanded by the client.
2. IGas Energy or IGPH:
Summary: IGas Energy or IGPH is a leading oil and gas refinery, working over 100 sites across the country. The company plays a major role in Britain’s onshore energy production and development for over 3 decades now. They wanted a design of a plant in which Oxygen (O²), Nitrogen (N²), Argon (Ar), Carbon dioxide (Co²) would be filled into cylinders.
Difficulties: IGPH required the design of a plant where proper equipment arrangements, facility management and delivery systems would be available. They would require an experienced personnel in oil and gas industry, piping, fabrication, civil shed design, columns, pillars and foundations, etc. The company needed an organization which would be able to work on 3D modelling of the entire plant, Pipping Modelling and Routing, Pipping Instrumentation design, support design. It would be great if they could also provide the GAD, Fabrication drawing, Pipping Isometric drawing and MTO. They found KKR Bose Design perfect fit for the job.
Solve: KKR received few details from the company’s engineering departments like, process line diagram & all 2d GAD of individual components, Referring the given GAD, KKR made the 3D models of all the inner components individually and instrument modelling (according to instrument database,) like valves and flanges. After that we placed all components in into the correct places and designed the piping routing as per process line diagram. Further, the pipes were connected into the nozzles of the components for the whole design to come to a conclusion. We then took the plan view, the elevation view and the isometric view of every concerned area separately along with the plant as a whole. To add to this, we also extracted the individual P&ID for the pipeline, tubing and the vent line.

Summary: Savair Energy Ltd is a 50% shareholder of Hindustan Aeronautics (and a GCP and EPC). The company faced problems with a compressor that required an immediate remodelling and designing.
Difficulties: Savair was facing problems with the compressor packaging units, which they produce, as it had two types – motor driven and generator driven units. The components of either units were different in size. They precisely needed both the unit’s base frame with same dimension. The company thus looked for a team who could rearrange the positions of the internal equipment and make both the units of the same size. They found KKR Bose Design the right place to look for.
Solve: KKR received the 3D models and layouts of the components for both compressor package units from the client. Initially KKR studied both the compressor units and finalized a dimension of a base frame which would be a fit for both the compressor units. Then KKR placed all equipments of both units in two separate 3D models of the base frame of the same size. Checked for clashes and made the pipe routing. In case there were any clashes to be found, for example the position of the cooling tank clashed with any other equipment, we re-designed and re-modelled them, making the correct adjustments and keeping the volume same (changing the hight and width of the components) so the clash clearance could be done. After this we made the General Arrangement Drawing (GAD), 2D fabrication, piping isometric, Bills of Materials (BOM), MTO and delivered all of these to the client.
